Creating and sharing AR experiences through social media such are Instagram, Facebook & Facebook ads.
It all started with my curiosity to try something new. I thought it would be a great way to expand my creative skills and have some fun at the same time. I personally think it's an exciting outlet, an alternative way to make something completely different and engaging!
For now, I have been experimenting with AR using Spark AR Studio as a hobby, though I have also managed to design some effects for a couple of clients including travel agencies and educational center.
As a designer, I must admit that I absolutely love to see
how people engage with any design product that I make, whether it's a website, logo, or simple illustration.
Sometimes it is hard to measure success and it has to be done through
some interviews or questionnaires.
But this will not happen when designing Instagram/Facebook effects! It comes with its own analytics so I can clearly see how many users have seen, downloaded or shared my filters. And if the effect is very popular, people will tag me or send me thank you videos! That's a way completely different experience I can have as a designer or "AR creator" and I really enjoy it!
Right now, it's all about fun, but it's slowly (actually quite quickly) becoming a marketing tool for e-commerce which sell
eg. glasses, jewelry, or make-up products.
Of course there are more AR programs available on the market and I am absolutely excited to try/learn them as well but, the fact that people spend more time on social media makes it a win-win for Spark AR!At least for now! Well done Facebook Group!👏
Some analytics at the end 🤓
